Every email is read and answered by the person who wrote the app. Expect a reply within three business days. If you include your iPhone model and iOS version, the first reply is usually the useful one rather than a request for more information.
“I deleted things, but my storage didn’t go down”
This is the most common question in the whole category, and it is not a bug.
When photos and videos are removed, iOS moves them to Recently Deleted, where they stay for 30 days before being erased. They still occupy storage for that period. This is iOS behaviour, not something an app can override, and it is the safety net that lets you undo a mistake.
To reclaim the space immediately: open Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted, then Select → Delete All. Once you do that, the items are gone permanently, so check the album before you empty it.
“SweeperX only sees some of my photos”
iOS offers apps Limited photo access, which shows only the pictures you individually picked. SweeperX cannot find duplicates it is not allowed to see, so a limited grant makes the results look strangely small.
To change it: Settings → Apps → SweeperX → Photos → Full Access.
Full access is used only on your device, for scanning and comparing. It does not enable any upload, because there is nothing in the app that uploads.
How SweeperX behaves with iCloud Photos
If iCloud Photos is on, your library is synchronised across your devices — which means deleting a photo deletes it everywhere, not just on this iPhone. It also lands in Recently Deleted everywhere, so you still have the 30-day window.
Two consequences worth knowing before a large cleanup:
- If Optimise iPhone Storage is enabled, some photos are stored as smaller local versions. SweeperX may need to fetch the full-resolution original before it can compress or vault it, which requires a connection to iCloud — this is iOS retrieving your file from your iCloud account, and is the one moment the system does network work on the app’s behalf.
- Space freed on the device may take time to reflect in your iCloud storage total, because the sync has to propagate.
Restoring your purchase
SweeperX Pro is a one-time purchase tied to the Apple ID that bought it. On a new device, or after reinstalling, open Settings → Restore Purchases inside the app while signed in to that same Apple ID.
If the restore does not find it, check that you are signed in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase — this is the cause in nearly every case. If it still fails, email us with the date of purchase and we will work it out.
Refunds
Apple handles all refunds, because Apple is the merchant of record for App Store purchases. We cannot issue one on Apple’s behalf, and we never see your payment details.

If something about the app is the reason you want a refund, we would genuinely like to hear it — email us as well as Apple. Knowing what went wrong is worth more to us than the sale.
I lost my Secret Space PIN
If you still have your recovery key, use it to unlock the vault, then set a new PIN.
If you have lost both the PIN and the recovery key, the contents cannot be recovered — by anyone, including us. There is no account, no server-side copy and no reset. The encryption key exists only in your iPhone’s Keychain, and we hold nothing that could open the vault.
We know this is a hard answer. It is the same property that means nobody else can open your vault either, and it is why the app asks you to acknowledge it before setup completes. See Limits and safety in the Terms for the full picture.
