Duplicate & Similar Photos
Exact copies and near-identical bursts, grouped with the sharpest frame already picked.
SweeperX finds duplicate photos, oversized videos and forgotten files, marks them, and shows you exactly what you’ll get back. Before it removes anything.
Your local price, tax included, is shown on the App Store.
“Storage Almost Full.” You delete a few apps. It’s back in a week. The photos are the problem, and there are more of them than you will ever sort by hand.
Nothing here calls out. The whole roll is developed on the device it was shot on.
Exact copies and near-identical bursts, grouped with the sharpest frame already picked.
One photo at a time. Swipe to keep, swipe to stage. Nothing leaves until you confirm the batch.
Large videos re-encoded at full resolution. The original waits in review until you say so.
HEIC re-encode at full pixel dimensions. Nothing cropped, nothing downscaled.
Everything oversized across “On My iPhone”, found and sized.
AES-256 vault, unlocked with Face ID or a PIN. The key lives in your Keychain. We hold no copy.
Keep the still, drop the motion. Often two thirds of the file.
Merge duplicate contacts without losing a number.
Screenshots, bursts and downloads, grouped for review.
Your remaining storage, on the Home Screen.
Every megabyte you have reclaimed, totalled and kept.
Each tool has its own page, with what it measures, how it decides and where it stops. See all eleven.
An editor marks the sheet in wax before anything touches a blade, because wax comes off. SweeperX works the same way.
SweeperX measures what is actually taking up space — duplicates, similar shots, big videos, forgotten files. Then it rings what it would remove.
Every mark lands in a bin you open, scroll and confirm as a batch. Nothing is removed at the moment you tap it.
Confirmed photos go to Recently Deleted, where iOS holds them 30 days. Two undo steps before anything is permanent.
The negative lies directly on the paper. No lens, no enlarger, nothing in the middle. SweeperX contains no networking code: no analytics, no crash reporting, no third-party SDKs, no server. There is nothing for your photos to be sent to, and nothing that could send them.
Put your iPhone in Airplane Mode and use SweeperX normally. Everything works, because it never needed a connection.
Then open Settings → Privacy & Security → App Privacy Report, which logs every domain an app contacts. Ours is on the right: one entry, Apple’s own StoreKit host, contacted once when the purchase went through. No analytics domain, no ad network, no server of ours, because there isn’t one.
AES-256, with the key in your iPhone’s Keychain and unlocked by Face ID or a PIN. We hold no copy and there is no recovery on our side.
Which means the honest warning: lose your PIN and your recovery key and the contents are gone for good. That is encryption working correctly rather than a fault, and the app makes you acknowledge it before setup completes.

No. SweeperX contains no networking code at all — no analytics, no crash reporting, no third-party SDKs and no server. You can verify it: use the app in Airplane Mode, then check Settings → Privacy & Security → App Privacy Report. The only domain listed for SweeperX is Apple’s own StoreKit host, contacted when the one-time purchase goes through. There is no other destination, because there is nothing else for the app to talk to.
No. SweeperX Pro is $12.99 once. There is no renewal, no expiry and no trial that converts. Your local price, tax included, is shown on the App Store.
Yes, for 30 days. Nothing is removed when you tap it: selections are staged in a review bin you confirm, and confirmed items go to the Photos app’s Recently Deleted album, where iOS keeps them for 30 days. That is two undo steps before anything is permanent.
Files deleted from “On My iPhone” are the exception — the Files app has no Recently Deleted, so those go immediately, and the app says so at the point of confirmation.
Yes. Be aware that with iCloud Photos on, deleting a photo deletes it on every device signed in to your account — and it lands in Recently Deleted everywhere, so you still have the 30-day window.
If Optimise iPhone Storage is enabled, iOS may need to fetch a full-resolution original from your own iCloud account before it can be compressed or vaulted.
No. Every feature except the one-time purchase works with the phone in Airplane Mode, because the app never needed a connection. The purchase itself goes through Apple’s App Store, which does.
500 MB of lifetime reclaimed storage and 5 items in the Secret Space. It is not a trial — there is no countdown, no card required, and it does not expire.
Use your recovery key to unlock it and set a new PIN. If you lose both the PIN and the recovery key, the contents cannot be recovered by anyone, including us — there is no account, no server-side copy and no reset. That is encryption working correctly rather than a fault, and the app requires you to acknowledge it before setup completes.
Any iPhone running iOS 17.0 or later.
